The State of Florida has recently made some changes to Bright Futures Scholarships. Here’s how they affect you:
  • You are required to pay back the Bright Futures award received for any class you withdraw from. For example, Florida Medallion students’ tuition costs $285 for
    3 credit hours.
  • If you are a full-time student enrolled during the fall and spring semesters, you are required to complete 24 credit hours by the end of the spring semester - renewals are prorated for part-time students.
  • Bright Futures will only pay up to 132 hours.

UCF has the resources you need to excel and maintain your eligibility such as Academic Advisors, the Office of Student Financial Assistance, Student Academic
Resource Center (SARC), Writing Center, Math Lab, and the Counseling Center.
