As classes resume and campus reopens, the Division of Student Development and Enrollment Services is dedicated to continuing to provide Knights with services they can depend on. Below is an overview of services that SDES Departments are offering to students, both face-to-face and virtual.

Career Services is continuing to provide assistance to students including webinars, resume critiques, interview tips, jobs on Handshake and virtual events. Additionally, students can schedule virtual meetings (phone or Zoom) with career counselors through Handshake’s appointment scheduling tool. The Creative School for Children (CSC) reopened their doors for children on June 1 and are not provided remote services at this time. For those who utilized their food distribution, they are continuing to provide breakfast and lunch boxes full of food on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11-12 for anyone.

LEAD Scholars Academy is open 8am-5pm M-F with limited access to lounge space. A maximum of 25 guests can enter the LEAD Lounge in Ferrell Commons 168 at a time. Guests will be asked to check in with a QR code and checkout once they leave.  LEAD Staff are working a mixture of in person and remote hours and can be reached by email or phone. MASS will be providing online advising through Skype and/or Zoom to any multicultural and/or first generation students. MASS workshop information, as well as information about MASS scholarships will be on the MASS website at www.mass.sdes.ucf.edu . You can also contact any staff member by e-mail. The department of Neighborhood Relations and Safety education is assisting students remotely during this time by answering all phone calls at our number 407-823-4625, all e-mails at sdesreception@ucf.edu or a.j.range@ucf.edu, and offering our services and assistance through our website nrse.sdes.ucf.edu.

Welcome back Knights! In accordance with UCF's Fall 2020 campus reopening plan, the RWC is providing a phased approach to reopening which includes several operational, cleaning and safety changes. Our commitment to providing you safe facilities and programs continues to be our top priority.

The RWC will continue to remain flexible due to local health conditions in our reopening plans and may alter at any time based on the guidance provided by UCF as well as state and local health officials. COVID emergency response may be limited and that for potential life sustaining injuries priority will be given to calling 911.

The RWC will have a nice balance of in-person events which are outdoors and allow for physical distancing and virtual opportunities through RWC+. We are excited to provide you with opportunities for you to engage, build resiliency and enjoy RWC facilities again.

Fitness 

  • Group Exercise classes will be offered virtually on RWC+ and in-person in outdoor spaces like the RWC Park, the William E. and Mary Jo Davis Recreation Area at Lake Claire and Garage B. Register for group exercise classes here
  • Fitness Assessment Open Hours will not be available
  • Personal Training will be offered virtually and physically distanced at Knights Plaza. For more information click here

Sport Clubs & Inclusive Rec 

  • Team sport practices, travel and competitions will be restricted. Individual or small group conditioning practices will be permitted with RWC approval.
  • Some individual based sports will be permitted to train (Running, Cycling, etc) with RWC approval
  • Student Assisted Workout program will be offered virtually and physically distanced at Knights Plaza. To learn more about SAW virtual training click here

Intramural Sports

  • To register for Esports and virtual Sports Trivia nights all semester long go to imleagues.com/UCF
  • Individual, dual and a variety of skills-based competitions will be offered (e.g. Tennis, Disc Golf, Bocce Ball, etc.) along with esports
  • IM Champion shirts will be up for grabs

Outdoor Adventure  

  • Online contactless gear rental through the Outdoor Adventure Center
  • RWC+ will be offering virtual team building. To learn more click here
  • Adventure trips, where transportation is provided, will not take place.
  • On-campus (Arboretum, Lake Claire) natural guided activities will be offered

New online reservations, access and check-in for the RWC:

Facility reservations are required to use the RWC Main Building.  Reservations can be made online through the Fusion member portal (ucfrwc.org), or by utilizing the FusionGo RWC app.

Reservations can be made 24 hours in advance and will be offered every 30 minutes.  Each reservation will have 30 available spots.  In the event a reservation needs to be cancelled, students/members can log into their accounts to complete this process.

Access will be limited to 1 registration/day and for 1 hour. Only currently enrolled UCF students and individuals with a current RWC membership may access RWC facilities. Students may not bring a guest or purchase guest passes to our facilities at this time.

The front desk for SDES will be staffed fully beginning on August 10 and will have the following safety precautions in place:

  • wearing a facial covering or mask stationed behind a clear Plexiglas shield
  • exercising social distancing with hand sanitizing liquid nearby
  • seeing our waiting area reconfigured to allow for depopulation and social distancing with only two chairs present
  • experiencing floor and directional markings in operation

SAS Main Office doors will be open this fall to schedule appointments only. Appointments and meetings will continue to be virtual until further notice. Student Care Services will continue to work with students remotely for concerns related to mental health, interpersonal violence, academic or personal distress. If anyone is aware of a student who needs additional support during this difficult time, they are encouraged to complete a Student of Concern form or refer the student to e-mail us at caremanager@ucf.edu. Student Care Services is also maintaining active referrals to campus and community services related to shelters, health and mental health services, and interpersonal violence.

Student Conduct and Academic Integrity (SCAI) continues to assist students and campus partners with the Student Conduct Review Process, Organizational Conduct Review Process, Disciplinary Record Sealing Requests, Dean Certifications/Letters of Good Standing, Golden Rule Review Committee, UCF Creed outreach initiatives, the promotion of academic integrity and the prevention of academic misconduct, and general process questions. Though this practice has shifted to a remote format, SCAI staff continue to remotely meet with students and student organizations, facilitate Preliminary Conference meetings, Informal Hearings, Formal Hearings, and speak with faculty, staff, and students. As classes have moved to an online academic environment, please let us know if you have any questions about the appropriateness/usage of online websites, forums, or apps that will continue to uphold the integrity of your academic work. Please note that the staff is prepared to maintain office functionality and uphold the same rights and responsibilities students held when the office was physically open. SCAI staff can be contacted by email (st_condu@ucf.edu) and phone (407-823-4638) during the hours of 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. Please note that all emails and voice messages will be forwarded to the appropriate staff members for a response.

Student Financial Assistance is currently accepting appointments for students to meet with financial aid counselors.  Students may schedule virtual and in-person appointments via the financial assistance website: www.ucf.edu/financial-aid.  Please note to practice appropriate social distancing measures, Student Financial Assistance is not currently taking walk-in visits.

Most documents can be submitted using the document and file upload tool found on the financial assistance website: https://www.ucf.edu/financial-aid/forms/document-file-upload/.  Documents may also be faxed or placed in the black drop-box located on the first floor of Millican Hall.

Checks cannot be placed in the drop-box.

Scholarship checks can be placed in the Student Account Services depository outside of Millican Hall. Scholarship checks may also be mailed to Student Financial Assistance's mailing address.  Scholarship checks made out to the student and UCF must be signed by the student before placing the check in the mail or in the Student Account Services depository.

Student Legal Services is continuing to assist students with their legal issues. We primarily offer phone appointments and will work with students to help meet their needs. Phone calls are the preferred method of contact but we will respond to emails as well. We have also restarted notary services, but students need to contact us to arrange in advance so that we can ensure social distancing.
