David Pavlonnis has worked as a professional in Higher Education for over 20 years.  During his career, Mr. Pavlonnis has held numerous roles in Housing and Residence Life as well as serving as an academic advisor.  In addition, he has held leadership roles in other traditional student affairs departments including Student Activities and Student Government. He has also taught leadership and student success courses and has presented at regional, state and national conferences.

In his current role, Mr. Pavlonnis serves as the Assistant Vice President for the division of Student Success and Well-Being. In this role, he provides leadership and strategy for all human resource and technology matters for the division which includes 23 departments and over 2,000 full and part-time employees.

Mr. Pavlonnis earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Education and his master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Tennessee.
