Student staff and professional staff members came together to celebrate accomplishments of the department. There was much to celebrate, including the outstanding work done by each team within housing and the retention rate increases due to residence outreach and creative programming. Distinguished faculty and staff were nominated by students for all their contributions to student success inside and outside of the classroom: Dr. Raheleh Ahangari Dr. Cyrus Azimi Dr. Melissa Dagley Madeline Davis Paul Gregg Dr. Carolyn Massiah Dr. Joanna Mishtal Dr. Kimberly Schneider Jesse Sunski Dr. Deborah Weissberg Living learning Community partners were appreciated for propelling student learning and success at UCF! Members of DHRL won awards in the following categories: Student Staff members of the Year: RA of the Year – Darwins Olcima HA of the Year – Helen Casey OA of the Year – Janiah Williams CA of the Year – John O’Brien RHAP of the Year – Javier Quiros-Negron Graduate Student of the Year – Connor Pillow Community of the Year – Knights Circle Professional staff awards were based on the CREED values of UCF: Integrity – Erin Geib Scholarship – Elijah Mizell Community – Ashley Powell Creativity – Erin Creel Excellence – Rebecca Lynn DHRL also recognized the annual awards given by student organizations within housing. RHA and NRHH held amazing programming events to get students involved and engaged in the community.
