On Saturday, January 18th, members of the UCF community marched in the 2020 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade in Downtown Orlando. Over 100 students, faculty, staff, alumni, and administrators joined members from Valencia College and FAMU College of Law to represent the theme of “King 2020, The Beloved Community: The Fierce Urgency of Now.” Joining them were the McKnight Achievers group, comprised of high-achieving, underrepresented students in grades 4 through 12, and special guest Knugget, courtesy of Painted Oaks Academy.

An African proverb states “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

UCF, Valencia College, and FAMU College of Law collaborate by creating educational opportunities throughout Central Florida to increase access, high-demand career mentorship, and encourage community support. Their dedication and commitment create opportunities and open doors
