Earlier this week, 2,277 students had the opportunity to meet with 238 employers at the 2020 Spring Career Expo at the Addition Financial Arena. Career Expo events are held in both spring and fall, providing full-time and part-time employment opportunities to current UCF students and alumni.

Prior to the Expo, UCF Career Services offered a Career Readiness Week where students and alumni could have their resume critiqued and practice interview skills with employers. Students could also take a LinkedIn photo, practice an elevator pitch, and attend a workshop or Lunch and Learn. Handshake was also utilized to research the attending employers in advance and to navigate the expo.

The Career Expo was well received by both job hunters and employers looking to fill important roles in their companies. Employers commented that Career Expo was a great event, well organized, and that they are looking forward to connecting with more students in the future.

UCF Knights dressed to impress and made a positive impression on employers. One employer commented, “Students who stopped by our booth did their research on our company, they asked great questions, and we had a good conversation.” Another employer remarked, “Great first experience for us. We will be back!”

Student were thankful for the opportunity to meet with potential employers. As one student said, “I am currently a freshman, but I feel that this experience really benefited my preparation for future interviews.”

Through the Career Expo, more than 250 on campus interviews were scheduled with companies including Aflac, Cintas, L3Harris, and Techtronic Industries.
