Dr. Chanda Torres

Dr. Chanda M. Torres has worked as a professional in higher education for over 16 years. She has served in a variety of positions in student and academic affairs in a community college and university setting. These positions have provided her with a variety of experience in the areas of Academic Advising, First Year Experience, Assessment, Learning Support Programs, College Transition Programs, Student Engagement and Career Services. Dr. Torres joined the University of Central Florida in 2012, as the Assistant Vice President of Advising, Transfer and Career Services for Student Development and Enrollment Services. In addition to this role, she serves as the division administrative liaison for the Rosen College of Hospitality Management, Admissions and Standards Chair designee and has led Student Success Initiatives at the University level. Dr. Torres has presented at state and national conferences on Student Development topics and is a published author. She has also been the recipient of state and national awards related to her service, leadership, collaborative efforts, and exemplary practices. Dr. Torres is a three time University of Central Florida alumni. She received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Foreign Language Education, a Master’s of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate Degree in Education in Curriculum and Instruction.
