Dr. Edwanna Andrews has worked in higher education for over 18 years has served in a variety of roles within student affairs. Her career has included developing student leaders, establishing a department, creating programs, providing platforms to decrease barriers, and being an advocate for all students. Dr. Andrews works with students, faculty, and staff to create purposeful action that leads to an accessible and inclusive UCF campus environment.

Dr. Andrews values contributing to the profession of higher education and serves as a member of the Advisory Council and co-chair for Student Affairs Professionals group the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity (NCORE). She also facilitates the Aspire Women of Color Leadership Institute annually at the NCORE conference. Also since 2016, Dr. Andrews has served as a mentor with the NASPA Center for Women in Student Affairs.

Dr. Andrews is a three-time graduate and very proud alum of the University of Central Florida earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising and Public Relations, Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership, and a Ph.D. in Sociology. Additionally, Dr. Andrews teaches undergraduate courses in Sociology, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Strategies for Success and serves as a UCF ambassador to community organizations such as the City of Orlando Mayor’s MLK Commission and the American Heart Association.
