On Monday, January 13, Multicultural Academic and Support Services (MASS) welcomed Knights back to UCF with their annual Welcome Back Bash in the Pegasus Ballroom. Nearly 400 new and returning UCF students stopped by to learn about campus resources and support services. Campus departments and student organizations were available to help students learn more about campus.

MASS strives to promote student success by helping Knights transition to the university and by connecting students with the robust UCF community to promote and facilitate academic support services and programs.

Jamie L. Owen, an Attorney for Student Legal Services, was on hand to educate students about the services available to UCF Knights. As Jamie explains, “It’s a mix of students who have never heard of us, some who may have seen our office on the third floor of the Student Union, but don’t what services we offer, and a few who have used us in the past.” Students interested in joining the legal field learned about opportunities with Student Legal Services, including internships through Legal Studies.

Participating departments and organizations included Career Services, LEAD Scholars, First Year Experience, Knights Helping Knights Pantry, and Centsible Knights, among many others.
