While all UCF classes have moved online and the campuses remain closed, the Division of Student Development and Enrollment Services is dedicated to continue providing Knights with services they can depend on. Below is a list of virtual services that SDES departments are offering to assist students.
Career Services is continuing to provide assistance to students including webinars, links to explore majors and careers, resume and interview help, job search sites or applying to graduate school. Additionally, students can schedule virtual meetings (phone or Zoom) with career counselors through Handshake’s appointment scheduling tool. For more information, visit career.ucf.edu/stayconnected.
The Creative School for Children (CSC) remains closed, however, staff are going above and beyond to assist families during this time. Every weekday between 11 a.m. to noon, the CSC distributes meals and snacks to support local families in need. In addition to food distribution, CSC is also offering weekly Zoom meetings to parents to allow the children to have continued communication with each other. They are also offering parent-teacher conferences.
Daily activities for students are posted on the CSC Sprouts YouTube channel.
UCF Housing’s Residence Hall Association is launching a social media interaction series this week called “RHA Stays Social”. This consists of daily posts on RHA’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts with different topics each day: Music Monday, Tik Tok Tuesday, What to Watch Wednesday, Time Passers Thursday, Feel Good Friday, and Weekend Wellness. Submissions can be entered via a form sent to active RHA members.

RHA has also introduced Weekly Hangouts; an open Zoom event held every Thursday at 6:00 p.m. EST. The themes will vary, and each week will include ice-breakers and other random topics to help keep students connected. This initiative kicked off with “UCF Cribs,” an opportunity for students to show off their current rooms or spaces. The last hangout in the series will be a virtual showcase for students to feature a project, skill, talent, or anything else they want to show off. This showcase may also double up as a mini talent show, too!

The Office of Integrity and Ethical Development continues to assist students, faculty, and campus partners with the promotion of academic integrity and the prevention of academic misconduct. As all classes have moved to an online academic environment, please let us know if you have any questions about the appropriateness/usage of online websites, forums or apps that will continue to uphold the integrity of your academic work. Though our office has shifted to a remote format, the Office staff continue to remotely meet with students and speak with faculty, staff and students. Please note that the staff is prepared to maintain office functionality. The office works in conjunction with the Office of Student Conduct in handling all cases of academic misconduct even during this time. The Office of Student Conduct (OSC) continues to assist students and campus partners with the Student Conduct Review Process, Organizational Rules of Conduct Process, Disciplinary Record Sealing Requests, Dean Certifications/Letters of Good Standing, Golden Rule Review Committee and general process questions. Though this practice has shifted to a remote format, the Office staff continues to remotely meet with students and student organizations, facilitate Preliminary Conference meetings, Informal Hearings, Formal Hearings, and speak with faculty, staff, and students. Please note that the staff is prepared to maintain Office functionality and uphold the same rights and responsibilities students held when the Office was physically open. In today’s streaming world, RWC+ is a one-stop shop of recreational resources including: fitness, Pilates and yoga resources, intramural sports engagements called “In-House Challenges”, Esports tournaments, live streaming workouts, workouts of the day and much more. All of the tools on the page are a collective effort to keep Knights moving and to help them cope with the stress of being away from campus.
Wellness and Health Promotion Services
Student Accessibility Services will continue to operate as UCF moves to online classes. Transition to an online delivery may create some new academic barriers that may require reasonable accommodations not previously used in your class(es). This move may also remove the need for other accommodations previously coordinated in your classes. We are prepared to work with you and your professors to coordinate necessary access and accommodations in courses during this online transition. Student Care Services will continue to work with students remotely for concerns related to mental health, interpersonal violence, academic or personal distress. If anyone is aware of a student who needs additional support during this difficult time, they are encouraged to complete a Student of Concern form or refer the student to e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Student Care Services is also maintaining active referrals to campus and community services related to shelters, health and mental health services, and interpersonal violence.

Student Financial Assistance is currently assisting students remotely during this time. We are primarily assisting students via email at email@example.com. We are also answering phones remotely at 407-823-2827 on a limited basis. Students should continue to log onto myUCF to view their To Do List. All requested documents should be submitted using the Document and File Upload or Dynamic Forms (when applicable). Please do not submit documents via mail or email. Student Legal Services is continuing to assist students with their legal issues. We offer phone appointments and will work with students to help meet their needs. Email is the preferred method of contact, but our phone messages are monitored.
The Student Union is aware that many of the programs that happened in our building regularly were impacted abruptly. The Student Union is looking into different ways to support different student organizations and department that still wish to conduct large scale meetings. The RWC closed indefinitely as part of the preventative steps UCF is taking to minimize health and safety risks to our students, faculty, and staff due to the spread of 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID19). The closures will last until university emergency management officials clear (upon recommendation from the Florida Board of Governors, which oversees the State University System) the UCF community to use RWC programs and services again.
