Dr. Kerry P. Welch has worked as a professional in higher education for over 20 years, covering a variety of roles and responsibilities. After getting his start in student services as the coordinator for the Racial Awareness Program at University of Cincinnati, Dr. Welch has since worked with a variety of student groups such as Student Government Association; academic support services; volunteer and community service programs; programming boards; and multicultural student services. Dr. Welch joined the University of Central Florida in 2004 as the Director of the Office of Student Involvement. Currently serving as an associate vice president of Student Success and Well-Being, he works closely with the Office of Student Involvement, Fraternity and Sorority Life, LEAD Scholars Academy, Student Legal Services, as well as coordinating assessment efforts for the division. Dr. Welch has presented at numerous local, regional, and national conferences on a variety of topics. While raising six beautiful children and spoiling seven grandchildren, Dr. Welch received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, his Master’s degree in Counselor Education, and his doctorate in Urban Educational Leadership from the University of Cincinnati.
